Static IP Address
If you use DHCP to assign the IP Address, make sure that the
address is made static.
If you obtain the IP Address from another network
administrator, make sure that it is a static IP Address.

Once the static IP Address is assigned, make sure that
DHCP is OFF.
The default setting for DHCP is ON.
Refer to the section, “DHCP, Setting DHCP On or OFF”
of this T.38 section of the Feature Set Guide.
Making an IP Address Static
If you are working with a DHCP server, you must make the IP
Address assigned to the T.38 facsimile machine static.
There are two ways to make the IP Address static. We
recommend Method 2.
1 In the Address Pool of the DHCP Server, set the Lease
Duration to “Infinite” for the IP Address(es) used by the
T.38 facsimile machines.
2 At “Add Reservation,” fix the IP Addresses individually.
